Dutch Rabbit and Blooms: Flower Miffy Pop-Up Debuts in Hong Kong This Summer

A beloved floral concept blending the minimalist charm of Miffy with Japanese kawaii aesthetics has arrived in Hong Kong, offering fans a whimsical escape and a chance to create their own bouquets. Flower Miffy, a pop-up boutique that has captivated shoppers in Japan since 2016, opened June 18 at the wwwtc mall in Causeway Bay, running through Aug. 16, 2026.

The pop-up, located at Shop G-01 on the ground floor, reimagines Dutch artist Dick Bruna’s iconic, cross-mouthed rabbit through floral design. It functions as part flower shop, part lifestyle store, and part tribute to minimalist Dutch-meets-Japanese style. The concept invites visitors to browse slowly, with the centerpiece being the “Flower Buffet”—a do-it-yourself bouquet station where guests become their own florist.

At the Flower Buffet, shoppers choose from five varieties of plush blooms: sunflowers, corn poppies, lavender, roses, and gerbera daisies. They can mix and match up to six items, wrapping the finished bouquet in signature Miffy packaging. A standard bouquet of three plush flowers starts at $130, with customization available for a higher cost. For those who prefer not to make their own, ready-made dried flower bouquets and exclusive tulip plush flowers are also available.

Beyond bouquets, the pop-up offers a full lifestyle collection, including Strawberry Party tableware—mint green teapots, cups, plates, and dessert spoons trimmed with gold and featuring a cheerful Miffy motif, priced between $100 and $380. Glass vases inspired by Miffy’s original illustrations, plant pots, watering cans, floral tabletop and wall mirrors with three-dimensional flower detailing ($380), and organza drawstring pouches printed with birth-flower and embroidered rose designs ($320) are also on offer. A wide selection of bags, pouches, and totes caters to collectors.

To incentivize spending, the pop-up offers tiered rewards: shoppers who spend $300 or more receive a random limited-edition collectable card featuring Miffy in various poses; those spending $1,500 or more take home the complete card set.

Flower Miffy’s appeal lies in its focused, considered approach—bringing together flowers and Miffy’s understated charm in a tightly themed, deeply considered space. The DIY bouquet bar, homeware collection, and collectable incentives make it an easy way to spend an hour in Causeway Bay, and likely leave with more bags than anticipated.

As the pop-up runs through mid-August, it offers a limited-time opportunity for fans and newcomers alike to experience a unique intersection of floral design and kawaii culture, potentially setting a trend for future collaborations in the region.
